If you need to reschedule your original service date(s) with a client due to your client requesting a reschedule and you allowing for that rescheduling, you need to send an official rescheduling contract!
A rescheduling contract will terminate and supersede written or oral agreements between you and the client and release you of any further obligations to your client as the company. The contract gives you options for handling the reschedule and allows you to keep all fees paid on as a credit for your client to use towards another booking within "x" period of time. It also includes a waiver of claims and confidentiality clause so you can ensure your client does not come back later on with issues.
